Wooden details

Preliminary work

Surfaces cleaned up to wood are sanded and, if necessary, plastered and re-sanded after plastering. Pre-painted surfaces are first cleaned with a suitable paint cleaner. Loose paint is removed and the surfaces are sanded with fine sandpaper. Carefully remove dust. It is recommended to use masking tape.

The right tools are important to get a good finish, ask your paint reseller for advice.

Painting interior wooden details

Use Aqua or Classic primer for wooden details. If the surface needs to be covered with a bright paint, the primer can also be tinted. Use a paintbrush, paint sponge or fine roller and finish with a paintbrush. Allow the primer to dry in a well-lit and well-ventilated room. Then finish in the same way with Brilliant Lackfärg, Effekt Lackfärg or Mästar Lackfärg 1-2 times, allowing it to dry thoroughly in the meantime. Clear and strong colours usually require several coats to achieve good coverage.

Covering wooden details outdoors

The combination Utegrund Aqua / Classicis used to treat surfaces that have been cleaned up to wood, such as windows. Allow the primer to dry in a well-lit and well-ventilated room. Then finish in the same way with Titan Fasadfärg, Stabil Oljetäcklasyr or Titan Dörr & Fönsterfärg 1-2 times, allowing them to dry thoroughly in the meantime.
