Before applying the product
Always start by reading the instructions on the container, and remember to be meticulous from the very start of the paint job. The proper tools and careful preparations, are prerequisites for successful results. Stir the paint thoroughly before you start applying the product. Air and surface temperatures affect the end result, so do not apply the product if it is colder than +5°C. The surface to be treated must be clean, dry and solid. Make sure the surface is sufficiently dry before applying the product, maximally 16% moisture ratio. Do not apply the product to surfaces heated by the sun, if rain is expected within 24 hours or dew is expected within 1-2 hours after finishing the application. Old paint containing linseed oil can blister. Untreated wood that has been outdoors for more than 4 weeks, must be washed and disinfected, and any loose grey fibres must be removed. Apply 2 coats of Outdoor Primer Aqua to joints and end pieces. For extra protection of the wood, especially at exposed positions, you should prime the entire surface with Outdoor Primer Aqua. Prime the entire surface incl. end pieces with 1 application of Outdoor Primer Aqua. Wash any previously painted surface with paint wash and rinse with water. Leave to dry completely. Use a suitable disinfectant in case of fungi and/or algae. Scrape off any loose paint and fibres or use a steel brush. Any untreated surface should be primed.

 

Applying the product
The product is applied using a suitable brush and is allowed to penetrate the surface. Make sure not to apply too thick a layer. It is better to apply 2 thin layers, and to work the product into the surface. You can use a paint roller to apply the product, this this must be followed up with the use of a brush. This also applies if you spray the product but it must be diluted by 5-10% with water.

 

After applying the product
Wipe off any excess product before cleaning the tools with water. Close the lid of the container properly before storing it out of reach of children. Any residue of the product should not be disposed of in the drains, but should be disposed of in a proper and approved manner. We care about the environment, and so should you.

 

Care
Use a brush or soft cloth moistened with water, and some suitable detergent to wipe the surface. Flush, using water from your garden hose. Never use cleaning alcohol for cleaning paints or lacquers.
